Problem(s) with the Radio Chat
Hello everyone,
A small problem I have. When I play Q3A I hear a lot of those catchy prhases from the Radio Chat. However when I type them into the console using the T button to talk, it doesn't work (nor I can't hear most of them). Mind you I can hear "No-Way" "Follow-Me" "Need Defense Now" "Need Escort"
Any help or step by step instructions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Yes except make sure you have a / before it..like /bind x...
![]()
You can also directly edit your q3config.cfg (using any text editor like Notepad) in your quake iii arena/excessiveplus/ directory. The format is pretty intuitive by itself, binds are all regrouped on the top of it, just add/change to new one. For someone not used with manual editing, using the console (~ key) is as fine
Welcome by the way, Canadian fellow ![]()
always back up your q3config.cfg before editing.
also create an autoexec.cfg which is easier to create the variables you want instead of scrolling through a mass of text.

Thanks for information and help so far. So if I understand correctly I enter these into the console by using the talk(chat) key and enter the exact words such as "i will hold this position"?
Now how do I get the .wav files to work in the Q3F Radio Chat?
Thanks
Mark
