Hey, so since i moved in to my new place about 6 months ago i started to have a lag/loss. At first it was just very small, 3-6% max and very consistent ping. Now my ping is jumping from 30 to 300 and my loss from 3 to 80, pretty random.

What i figured out till now makes no sense to me:
My lag is getting way worse in the evening times, which made me conclude it must be the heavy usage of the internet in my area or sth.

But: on my laptop with WLan i have no lag at all, not even 3% loss, at all times (unfortunately my laptop is too weak to even run q3 properly). From this I concluded that the reason must be the cable connection between the router and my PC. So today my Wlan-Card arrived, I installed it and i tried to play: in the afternoon no lag, in the evening heavy lag as usual.

So what else can I do? Can sth that is on my PC be the reason? I ran Anti-Malware Bytes and it says i don't have any. I also think i don't have any viruses or anything. Maybe some shitty programm (that also only runs in the evening oO).

I hope made my point clear, if there's something else you need to know, pls ask, i just want this to be fixed...

well.. as u say by ur own, on laptop u got no lag at all, doesnt matter what time...
so i guess it is something with ur pc... It truly must be some background programms...or even windows update? Tongue
try monitoringwith a Resource Monitor..... win7 has its own under accesoires / zubehoer
and see if it is actually a programm

ok this might be a little embarassing but it seems that installing 22 new windows updates did solve the problem. i had no idea this is actually a thing. also i can't believe the solution was so easy. also i will wait for tomorrow evening lag/loss time to be 100% sure

Maybe some drivers database was uncorrectly installed for NB/PCIe host controller (dunno which type You use m8, integrated network or standalone network card) or as last time we talked on msn, maybe the provider sets wrong bandwidth and this makes badpacket traffic control, becouse a previous other genre modem/router which used the line... In last case, call support dude. They should run a new measure and reset their switchbox at host server/hub.
