Noob here!!, how do you make the names flash??

ANy help would be great.

1st) Go to this directory (it's default)

C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\excessiveplus\tools

2nd) Use the program called Qname.exe to make your name.

3rd) Copy the name after you have finished.

4th) Go to the following directory:

C:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\excessiveplus

5th) Open up a file called q3config.cfg using Wordpad NOT Notepad.

6th) Press CTRL + F to bring up the find box, and type seta name

7th) Then paste the name you made into the quotes.

8th) SAVE IT!


NOTE: IF YOU USE THIS TOOL, YO CAN USE THE GUI AND IT WILL CODE IT FOR YOU!

Also if you use extended chracters in your name you HAVE to save it with wordpad, cause notepad doesnt save the extended info and you get crap from your name (something that i can see on the forum as well, but some people just dont realize it)

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!
