My game config switches to default

Has anyone had this problem? If I "load conf\whatever.cfg" in my server consol the game, the spider, and all other server browsers report the game config as "default.cfg" though the game behaviour is that of the config I have loaded and not the default.cfg. I can killserver and exec server to recover properley but if I'm away for a while and the config is changed through vote it will report default again after a coulple of map changes. Does any one have a sudgestion. It's getting quite annoying.

xp_conf "thenameoftheconf" should help.

you just need that line in the server settings, you can then later load anything.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

There is the problem I already have xp_conf set in my server.cfg but if the config is changed through a vote, when I "load conf\whatever.cfg" to bring the original config back it reports as default.cfg but behaves as the config I want to load.
