This appeared in my baseq3 folder, just wanted to know if anyone knows how it could get there..

It is a rar of q3.exe but it doesnt start q3 it just crashes.

Anyone know how it appears here? anyone else find this?

When u arc by "winrar" - use always check box "lock archive"

Thanks for answers, but.. I never packed anything from q3, this is not my archive file, i dont know how it got there... the date the exe was created - 2002 and the rar was packed 2008.. does this mean anything to anyone? could it have come with a map pak? its not a problem for me, just a mystery...

It is actually a question which you just can answer by urself. If it came with a pak or with ur actual Q3 install (prob. warez?), u just can find it out by urself, didn't find any similiar questions, yet. I don''''t know

Exactly how skull sais. You better do cl_allowdownload 0 or else you'll get alot of funny files or even cheats without even knowing. Because some strange ppl like to have that on their servers.

I have and always have had \cl_allowdownload 0 since before getting loads of poop zzzcrappak and shitty crosshair, lowexplosionshit and gayboymodel paks.

I'm not too bothered by it, just curious as to its origins.. to me, it's strange that the only thing in the archive is the q3.exe.

Maybe it's just one of lifes unsolved mysterys; like, why does the lollypop lady always make me cross?
