Immediately Frozen With Connection Interrupt

Ok, I followed the instructions and have the Excessiveplus folder right below the Quake III Arena folder and I also have the client side update that was received with allowdownload set to 1.

The problem is upon entering the server, I see the Excessivplus motd then as soon as the motd disappears, I freeze with connection interrupt right in front of me.

Is this a known problem or am I the only one?

Please advise..Thanks!

I forgot to add that I downloaded: Excessive Plus v1.0rc2a

The only thing I can suggest you is to delete your "excessiveplus" folder,
redownload the .zip file, unpack it and try again on another server.

You have a map rotate setup and it is configured somewhere in the config?

The server just 'hangs' when there is no map to play on.
