In driv's and marcus's case I think its pretty obvious what was the problem,like I said,every button that will be used for jumping has a possibility to get destroyed cause I think its the most used button in quake [some will say forward is but u are keeping it pressed constantly,while with jump u are constanly pressing it over and over,especially if u strafe jump across the whole map.So dont be surprised your buttons are broken.
