The reason for this topic is simples:

1. Cheaters are ruining the game.

2. Cheat topics are ruining the forum

3. How to elieviate point 1

4. how to eleviate point 2

here we go:

point 2 is fuelled by point 1

Point 1 is fuelled by 1 thing alone; cheaters like to gain attention, through succesfully hiding their advantage, gaining notority from public displays of their advantage (and I use the word advantage loosely), by provoking rage amongst other players.

so from this we can assertain that point 1 is actualy fuelled by point 2.

simple illustration: cheater on server, get told fuck off cheater, first response from cheater is hahaha, thus provoking rage amongst other players = attention.

cheater on forum, will go to great lengths to prove innocence in long winded debates = attention.

so, the answer is thus.

do not engage the cheater on server or in forum, remember negative attention is still attention, report cheater with evidence, ignore the flames fanned by said cheater.

following these steps will dramaticly reduce (not entirely) the number of cheaters on servers and forum, ergo satisfying points 3 and 4.

n.b. this is just my opinion, feel free to comment. judging by the amount of topics and posts on cheating, the acs, pb, and report cheater topics are not fully effective, so why not take heed of this guide and just maybe you will see a reduction in this area of contention.
