I made a name with xpqname, but now how do i get quake 3 to recognize that that is my name?

open your q3config.cfg and find line with name cvar then paste your e+ name into: set name "here" or set xp_name "here"
or make new file, name it ex. myname.cfg and write:
set xp_name "yournickhere"
save and in quake do in console:
/exec myname.cfg
