I just think it's pretty unjustified calling the bro.cfg a noob.cfg. I admit it is a very easy config for noobs, which is a very good thing!
But imho it might be even easier for a noob to play on a config w/o an instagib rail, 'cause the main weapons on the servers then seem to be bfg, mg and gl, which i consider as being the top weapons for spamming. And newbies kinda tend to like spamming, since they aren't used to fast weapon-switching...

Anyways, this isn't supposed to be any rivalry between configs, though I somehow have the feeling you believe so Winking

And to somewhat return to the main topic:
I think you got Giblet's posts pretty wrong. He hasn't insulted you, nor said that smurf was definately not cheating (unless i've overseen something). He merely criticized the fact that you banned someone without seeing him cheat with your own eyes. Noone's trying to tell you what to do (It's your decision, should be respected), but saying that it's a pretty inconvenient method, since you can ban a wrong guy easier...

seems my post has kicked up quite abit of fuss Happy
I think the real reason i was banned was that explosive didnt want to risk me taking the top stop on the ctf efficiency scoreboard.
Cant blame him for trying to protect his interests Tongue

i am really surprised he doesnt have an autorecorder running or the other X guy who was also on the server, if anything i'd like to relive taking out their entire team with a girly lg Big grin Big grin Big grin
but seriously i'd like it if you could see if you have a vid somewhere of it

[edit] just to update you lot, explosive still hasnt found it in his heart to unban me Big grin

If its a noing cheater earlier baned and kicked u can do it without being on the server other wise u have to spec him to se with your own eyes

this all sucks im still sore about the noob.cfg STATEMENT... any way i start running a server and dont like to kick any one..unless i know for sure some ONE CHEATS.. SOME cheats u cant see that good so some times i will turn on punkbuster and it shows whats going on then i caN KICK SOME ONE FOR SURE...THE ONLY THING I DONT LIKE IS LOSING PEOPLE FOR NO CD KEY......ANY WAY IF IT WAS NOT FOR BRO.CFG THIS GAME WOULD NOT BE A PART OF MY LIFE....SEEMS LIKE ANY GIVING TIME OF DAY MOST PEOPLE ARE ON BRO-LIKE CONFIGS..AND ALL THE CLANS AND LEAGUE GAMES AND SO ON HAPPEN ON THIS CONFIG.... i completly agree with sarasota, anemic and mullder on this, but this is my opinion and i dont wana argue with anyone, i feel in my opinion you should watch yourself, but explosive did ask a friend who he trusts, if i had a server and for instanca giblet said that guy is cheating i would kick so we cant blame explosive, it isnt like he made a bad dicision, he took the owrd of someone in his clan. although i beleive smurf isnt cheating its hard not to take another player who you respects word.

as for the noob server i do agree with anemic and sarasota, it is an easy server, which is the only reason i am now a clan member, and maybe even not a noob anymore, i am open to you guys opinions on that Winking . but anyway, i would like to see a noob on the mr freeze server with the players i was gainst earlier, i dont think a noob could play with me, hq, harding, noobgamer, noob em, genxyuriko, and i'll stop there, but, this is an exciting cfg thats why it is widley played and will be the factor in getting new player into e+, without the bro.cfg e+ wouldnt be much, and i personally beleive the higher bro.cfg players have alot more skill, due to having more choices of moves and weapons, even though im not as good on the exessive servers, i find much harder matches on the bro.cfg servers, thanks to hq harding zoomer warrior and so on.

Actually, none of us would be like "n00bs" on the Excessiveplus original configs. Many of us started life there untill the discovery of the BRO.cfg.

Believe it or not, I actually still play on the original .cfg every now and then. I find it rather humorous that I see many of the "regulars" message newbies "Do not use the MG". Oh...what a great way to attract newbies...let's callvote kick them for using it. Applause

It's amazing that the MG is an option that can be used yet players get hammered for using it. If you guys have such great skill, why not just dodge the weapon rather than threaten the player that uses MG. Even better...take the MG off the server... Idea

Smurf, I tell ya what...you better not be a bot user (what good it would have done you on the excessiveplus.cfg would baffle me anyway :roll: ). I don't really think that I am defending you because I have never seen you play. However many players here have witnessed you play & they are defending you. Don't ever take that for granted.

I saw edy+ on the shoutbox mention something about flaming. If this thread caused that disturbance, well...it wasn't meant to be. If there is anyone to blame, then blame me. I just found great humor in the fact that Explosive would discredit himslef when he stated on the SHOUTBOX that he didn't see smurf cheat.

I do not enjoy beating a dead cat over & over but I do enjoy adding salt to old wounds. My original intent was not to belittle you or change your mind about your "decide". Maybe I'm just a more pro-active admin than you and was hoping I could shine some light for you.

I am all about creditiblity without it, how can you build trust?. Explosive stands by his decision, so be it. However...starting a war about which .cfg is the best is a cheap shot that only you seem to take humor in. You are the only one out of a thousand that laughed at his own joke.

I'm not out to change anyones mind in life...that's impossible. Different opinions make life great. :twisted:
