For some reason my Lightning Gun gets a Graph Error. It doesnt load the Lightning graphics at all, just a huge cone from almost the whole bottom screen up to the crosshair so roughly a quarter of the screen is just grey for me and making it impossible to use the LG.

A while back I got some weird pk3's autodownloaded from servers, these were handing various weapon settings that pure didnt like so I deleted them. Dont remember if I had the problem before this. And it works on some servers, maybe 1 out of 20 or something like that.

maybe its about xp_nomip, if it looks like in attached pic then use xp_nomip 511 (and vid_restart)

I'd say one of your packs got corrupted if it weren't for you saying it works on some servers :scratch: Imo, some custom pk3 is overwriting standard q3 LG graphics, i had something similar going on.

I downloaded LOADS of custom maps way back when, put them all in my baseq3 folder, and one of them was screwing with teleporter graphics (instead of seeing thru it, it displayed a big black hole).

Try moving any non-standard pk3's you have both in your E+ folder and in your baseq3 folder one by one, including maps, models, skins and other, usually harmless, files.

Erm, that would be a serious improvement. Its like when someone loads a skin you dont have and you see a greyed out box with white outlines in the list of players. Big lightgrey box with white outlines.

I am guessing MAD is closer to the truth. My e+ folder is some 3+ years old and I guess there might be some crap there that shouldnt Happy

I'll bet you thought about it from the start, but hoped someone will come up with a less time eating solution Big grin Took me a lloooooooonggggg time before i fished out that one map which was causing me problems :F

What I was hoping was that someone would say "LG settings is in blabla.pk3 reload original and take away blehblehbleh.pk3 from your e+ folder" or similar Happy

Was hoping that someone had had the same prob and knew what files was causing the problem.

And ofcourse, if I could get away with someone else doing all the searching for me so that he/she could look like an ubah pk3 hacker its A-OK with me Happy

I had that problem with lg and bfg explosions. Don't remember what i did Big grin but i am almost certain it was a map (some times it's a mappack so aim for those first)
