For what this command is useful? Why it slows my computer at hell when I put it on?!
Why I cant change weapons when this command has the value "1" and I have 100% loss packets but I can go on to play?

When you set this var to 1, your client will wait for the packets to be received by the server and confirmed, before continuing, hence syncing with the server. That's why it slows down so much your gameplay.

i use this command only if i wanna record something with \record
you will see that it requires you to have g_synchronousClients "1" in order to start recording.

It will syncronize all clients with you so the demo won't look choppy. you can make a test if you want between 2 demos made with

\g_synchronousClients "1"
\record
...
\stopRecord 

and without g_sync..
\g_synchronousClients "1"
\record
\g_synchronousClients "0"
...
 
\stopRecord

would i need to ask a spectator to record me if i wanted a synchronised demo without the laggy effect?

if you use what spartan said you wont feel any laggy unless the pc is not so powerful to write a demo while playing q3.

yeh, i already use that, but alot of the shots i record look like i shoot the air next to a player and get a frag (when played back).

g_synch does not need to be on for the whole time u record? (why is this and what difference does it make. does it only synchronise the packets whilst its enabled, and when u disable it again the packets are not synch? but u are still recording untill u stop it?)

oh and heres a record function on 1 key instead of 2.

g_sync synchronises the client with the server, ergo, u need to wait for server response until u can do anything, as move.

with zero u can move instantly, just as its supposed to be online

if u playback a demo, ofc hitting looks off, try xp_delagdemo 1

they are in my sig (though this forum shows it whenever it wants, see my first post in this topic, it is there. the pc is powerful enough for q3.)
