It is funny how everything is repeating.

I had the one and only pb-busy server ever in e+, which had 24/7 pb on, it was successfull for arround 1 1/2 years.

It died because of several reasons. Beside the admin/ref reasons it was also PB, because there were aim+ server and beer freezer without pb. And beside the admin/ref reasons people switched also to aim+ and beer-freezer because of no pb.

If aim+ and beer will enable one day pb as default, than there will be a server without pb, and people will start slowly to switch over to this server.

It is a unchangeable fact.

PB in public in e+ will be successfull only, if it would be possible like in quake live. There is NO server without pb, forced by development. So if easy makes a version which is kinda perfect, so everybody wanna play that new version, which JUST runs with pb enabled, than, and just than u will have ur pb-servers.

Du sprichst hier mit Leuten die eine jahrelange Erfahrung im Serverhosten und in der Administration haben. Ich schlage vor, du lernst erst mal ein bisschen was über Q3 bevor Du weiter so enthusiastisch Vorschläge machst.

Das Du pure Server verlangst, damit die Leute kein Picmip benutzen können, spricht dafür das du absolut keine Ahnung hast. Picmip hat absolut nichts mit Pure zu tun.

Außerdem, wenn Camel sagt, PB macht den Aim-Server leer, dann ist das so, da gibt es keine Gegenargumente, er spricht aus Erfahrung, er hat es tatsächlich so erlebt, es ist so passiert. Das Gleiche gilt für Dinge die ich versuche Dir zu erklären, aber Du nimmst gar nicht richt wahr, was man Dir sagt.

Sicherlich ist Enthusiasmus nichts schlechtes, aber nur wenn man sich auch etwas erklären lässt. Alles was Du hier in diesem Thread schreibst, wurde schon über ein duzend mal probiert, aber komplett ohne Erfolg. Sonst wäre doch schon alles wie Du es Dir vorstellst.

You speak here with people who have experience, lasting for years in serverhosing and administration. I suggest, you learn first the basics of Q3, before u keep on doing suggestions so enthusiastically.

That you demand pure servers, so that the people can not use any picmip, speaks for that you absolutly no idea what u r speaking about. Picmip does not have anything to do with picmip.

In addition, if Camel says, PB makes his servers (aim+) empty, then it means, that PB makes his servers empty, there are not any counterarguments. He speaks out of experience, he experienced it like that, that means it happened already like that. The same thing is valid for things i try to explain you, however you do not even perceive what someone trys to tell you.

Actually enthusiasm isn't anything bad, however just if you accept explanations from experienced users. Everything you write here in this thread was already tryed many times before, however whithout any real success. Otherwise all would be already like you suggest it now.

jees, what dont people understand, mow you are banging your head against the wall trying to talk to people who want only one solution... their solution.
if you want a full public server that is pb and pure it takes a cooperation of people to coem together, people in the past have made pb, pure servers but they only fill with the same people...
public servers and PB are a pain in the arse and not everyone can get used to them, even long time players have issues with pb for no apparent reason..
the other thing is that e+ is soooo customisable on the server and client end, (pimp my q3 baby!!) that this is such a draw for people that it leads to having custom files in their folders, (i didnt say cheat) cursors, models, etc etc - and as you know, this is unfriendly with pure servers.
the way things work best is to have some servers with pb and pure, some with just pb, some with just pure and some with nothing at all.. like it is now... then you choose where to play, and can choose to come back to teh forums and whine about punk ass bitches cause this is the e+ way..

ohh and a quick ***edit*** those who dont like the servers how they are, set one up how you like it ffs, its not hard and there are plenty of places/people where you can even get the server for free.. think it can be better... MAKE IT BETTER.
