Depending on the service you pay for yeah it is possible, we are hosted by ET and have ftp access so we upload and make all modifications via ftp instead of using that slow control panel via http.

You want a program that can ftp?

there are many free ones out there.

the one that came with windows is called ftp.exe. Click "Start Menu", Click "Run...", and type "ftp" Now press enter.

when that comes up, type "o" and then spacebar, and then the ftp address.

E.G. "o www.google.com"

and upload from there.

ALTERNATIVELY

Download a program called CuteFTP, (it has free trial period, after that find serial key off internet), Install it, and follow the setup wizard

First that person needs to run ftp server and create an account for you, for ftp servers appz assuming he runs on windows he can use G6 or guildFTP just to name 2 then he creates an account that points to your quake dir and that way you can upload your files.

No, maybe he server is in cosmos or in moon(but distance is bigger than 50.000 miles)
