If you put /startrecord, and while recording someone change map (map not finished) for example with /rcon map map_name. Demo continue to writing to same file and it caused some problems with demo watching programs. You can have some games in one demo file with it.
I suggest before sudden map changing put auto stoprecord always. Or maybe there are some another ways.

PS maybe this bug exist with startmvd too, i donno.

xp_onexit "stopmvd" or "stoprecord"

This should stop record soon as map finishes dunno about if someone changes map during middle of a game.

I have it already. Problem with sudden map change by rcon or callvote.

About startmvd happen the same but was resolved

as i said i have both commands in "xp_onexit". It doesn't help if someone use /rcon map q3dm17. Happy Record is still writing in same file with name of previous map.

This works if map is changed by using the "map" command:
seta xp_onEnter "stoprecord"

dunno if it's been already reported, but anyway i'm gonna post here, cuz it's related. yesterday i had an issue while trying to record an mvd: i started recording by pressing a key bound with 'startdmvd' - q3 started recording; then, all of a sudden, we had to change g_gametype from 8 to 3 (yeah, lol) and restart the map. and after map change i couldn't start mvd recording at all: i got a message smth like 'you're already recording an mvd', but i couldn't see an mvd icon standing next to my nick in scoreboard. other players couldn't see it either. i tried to stop writing mvd (/stopmvd) and start it again, but somehow it didn't change anything - got same message. reconnect helped though. oh, and btw, i use xp_onexit like this:
seta xp_OnExit "screenshotXP jpeg;stoprecord"
and the most interesting is that i don't even have a single screenshot made while changing map in the middle of a round. are you sure xp_onexit is used when map cmd is carried out? and one more: i was logged in as ref.
