File search when i plying quake?

hi guys
when i playing quake, i see the lag with 0,3 second screen freeze sometimes.
when i look at the q3 logs in the same times i see the log like this

---File search -------
base3.pk3
x.pk3
y.pk3
z.pk3
.
.
--------------

epsi said that to me,
some player joining the the game, q3 loading the unloaded player model in the same time.
it gives me lag what could i do?
how do i fix this issue?

this was the command i didn't remember when you asked me about this problem.

In another website is wrote:

cg_deferPlayers 1
This will make Quake3 load up new models ONLY when you look at the score board, or when you die. Well when you die you have the scores shoved in your face and this is when the models will load Happy. This helps to fix lock ups when a new player joins the server, and as HiddenName has commented it`s better when you die that you lockup, then to freeze when your alive and the enemy is about to take aim! Happy

I think i have same problem. It searches music file on me (wtf). and that command does not help, but i have it just sometimes.

Turoth try to use an xp_enemymodel and do cg_forcemodel 1 see if that helps Happy

the q3/xp client searches music files when some1 join the server because that model the joined guy might use new sounds for jumping, rawring, die, die in the pit etc...

and if you have them then it will play them when that guy is near ya.. if you don't have them .. other sounds will be used...

my cfg is already like that.

seta cg_forceModel "1"
seta cg_deferPlayers "1"
seta xp_enemymodel "xxxx"

i think File Search is not releated that.
cos i give this issue when i playing...
not look at the scoreboard or when i die.
