i have changed ffa.cfg as this:

now how i get rid of the rockets?

did you read the help files in the docs/ directory?
you can set the starting weapons within a bitmask, read more in docs/xp_server.txt.
anyway to answer your question, put that line after "exec conf/mrpants.cfg"
set ex_start_weapons 495

i tryed the what you said I even restarted the server still rockets
this is what i put in ffa file exec "conf/mrpants.cfg
set ex_start_weapons 495 still not rockets gone what did I do wrong also how do I get gapple I read all the file from the game and i did what it says but still no gapple I need so help with this dont understand why please help Gremreper

The format had changed since then, try
[code:1]exec "conf/excessive3.cfg"
set xp_startWeapons 495
set xp_grapple 10[/code:1]
To use the grapple: /bind mouse2 +button5

Ok i changed it to what you wrote do I put this in server too when started do I restart server and do i put this in console of quake3 of the game thank you for quick responce I hope this all works Gremreper

Thankyou for the Help I got it all to work but I got one problem Little lag is there a tweek I can put in to help that if please let me know so I can do that it works great dont half to bug any one about rockets I can enjoy it and not half to worry about it thank you once again By the way I f you like to play come too Death's Place on 1.31 point release

Hey x plus, how come when i hook up to deaths server. when map rotation
comes up, i dont rotate sez i need to down grade my excessive plus version what does that mean??? dont get that no where else

I dont understand why It says down grade excessive plus for and for rockets you can see for what is was told you can take them out I dont like them and they wont go back in so if the tech guys tell me why it says to down grade i like to fix it

That means the server is running an older version than you. Probably v1.0rc1.
It's a bug, it shouldn't even let you connect to such a server.
Edit: Just saw the server, it's running v1.0rc2. I would suggest you to download and use v1.0rc2a. (changeslog)

To the complainer which I know who but he know the real problem but I did up grade the Excessive Plus to the Verson you said and work well to me. thank you for fixing the problem excessive plus tech and I did not know there was a bug in the other one so problem fixed I hope to play your game on my server a lot peole love the game and I got lot of good friends who love it thank you for your time to help Gremreper
