as if powerups aren't strong enough already, i really think its ridiculous that people should be allowed to drop them over & over & abuse it during games. can we disable drop in the cfg maybe? or will it have to be done serverside.

this (or maybe a very similar bug) has been around since at least 1.03...

If, by abuse, you mean that the power-up clock gets reset after dropping, then it is a bug.

Its a cfg option, misc->dropEnable, fala allowed drops for flags, powerups and armor.

so is this bug fixed?
also, why not drop weapons too?
cos i imagine you can make configs where you have to pick up various weapons... so dropping them should be enabled.
