OK now i have your attention! Big grin

I'm buying a new PC but i have practically no time for myself to research what to buy in order to make a valid decision on purchase. So i was hoping one of you lot could point me in a good direction

I want it to work well with Maya/zbrush/udk in general. I will be doing a fair amount of rendering, however what need mainly is smooth Viewport rendering.. so good real time graphics.

I myself know a little about hardware in general but way to little in order for me to comfortably spend my budget which is anything under a £1000 or 1200 euro. The figure has little bit of leeway.

Please bear in mind i have never built a PC before but if it means better value which I'm sure it does i will ofc build it. either that or someone to do it for me .. i no plenty of people x)

also i guess i should point out some things Ive heard which i myself have not said but i would respect you lots opinions.

-Don't go for an i7 go for a nice i5 instead as their is not much difference concerning the performance however the prices go up dramatically

-Sandy bridge is good. ?

Apart from that i could buy it as a one piece instead of separately. So i also ask do you guys however an idea of who to buy from. for example dell, etc

Peripherals wise i don't need a mouse, keyboard, speakers, mousepad.

I need a wireless card and at least 3 usb 2.0. The case can look as ugly as fuck i don't really care as long as it does the job. I will be on for long hours so i would like to make sure it don't overheat and auto shut off so an ok cooling system as well i guess but i don't really know much about this area.

I don't need it to come with an operating system as i can get mine free anyways.

(oh and BTW i can get away with butchering the English language Tongue because i'm English! Tongue )

Anyways thx in advance people with advice! P:

Intel i5-2500K is nice in price/performance ratio. I recommend you to combine it with Gigabite or Asus mobo with chipset P67 or Z68. Add min. 8GB of RAM, some good GFX, PSU, SFX, SSD, HDD and youre happy PC user Winking

Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite | AMD Ryzen 7 5800x (water cooled) | 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Gigabyte Radeon Rx 6800XT | Creative Audigy RX | 500GB SSD (macOS 13) + 1TB SSD (W11P) + 3TB HDD | Apple Magic Keyboard + Logitech G603

If you wanna work with your computer, I can advise you 16GB of RAM, at least 1333MHz.
2 monitors is a must have, I'd go for Samsung SyncMaster F2380M.
Basically, if you wanna render HD pictures etc, have a look at profesionnal GPU, but will be expensive.

Get and SDD ofc, Crucial M4 is a good one !

SSD is a must, ofc if you can afford.
recently tested A-DATA S511 series, 500MB r/w transfer, w7 loads for 6-7 secs

why you don't inspect things more careful, for example: 'J' choosed a MB that supports tweaking of RAM, so his RAM runs on... , pff, don't remember exactly about 1866 Mhz DDR3, and this system drives are mechanical, i just noticed your budget, go for SSD!

This seems like a nice deal. I see no SSD but i might be able to pick that up later.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CORE-i7-2600K-Z68-16GB-DDR3-2TB-850W-ATI-6950-2GB-NO-OS-Quad-Core-PC-/310362207160?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopPCs&hash=item48430773b8

I'm not sure about buying from ebay however. The warranty service from SquareTrade seems good tho.

The pages you gave me Apollo are in geman Tongue i cannot read it however i search for uk based company's and i get nice results. ebay seems like a good place to buy especially because of the protection offered, which would be what i thought would let it down.

The ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6950 2048MB

seems to benckmark fairly well as well.

Re: Does anyone know much about PC's here :P

nice j how is the gtx 560 ti ?

so far i have this
Asus nVIDIA SLI GeForce GTX 570 DirectCu II Graphics Card (1.28GB)
Dell ST3750330NS Seagate 3.5 inch 750GB 7200RPM SATA Raid Edition Hard Drive
Corsair CML16GX3M4A1600C9B LP Vengeance 16GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3
Corsair CMPSU-750TXUK TX Series, 750 Watt, ATX, PS/2,
Sony 24x Internal DVD Rewriter - Black
Asus P8P67 PRO REV 3.1 Motherboard
Intel Sandybridge i5-2500K Unlocked Core i5 Quad-Core Processor (3.30GHz, 6MB Cache, Socket 1155)
Cooler Master CM Storm Enforcer
Samsung 21.5 inch Monitor LCD

but im alittle confused about mother boards and compatibility im not sure if this stuff workd together. also the gtx 570 is damn expensive i might consider the gtx 560. How do they compare?

also all that stuff costs £950 but i might have to take the 560 gtx so i can afford a second screen

Im ruling out ati cards for the moment as they are not great with maya (to my own experience in the lab)
