Coloured names in Q3.... how???

Right, here's another of my stupid questions so sorry in advance as I'm sure this comes up all the time, but I want to put my name (Bobfred) in different colours on Q3 like everyone else seems to. Can anyone help? I'd also like it to flash if possible? I'm new to internet gaming so you'll have to assume I know nothing and please don't use loads of technical speak coz I won't have a clue.... Cheers!

Run Qname.exe....its a small app in the tools folder in the excessiveplus folder.....run it, make your name and put it in q3config.cfg (in the excessiveplus folder) at the line....
seta name ""
then save (of course 
)

Hi ther if u downloaded e+ from a server i dount think u got this.
But if u dowload e+ from this sight u got in the excessiveplus folder a folder named Tools in ther u got Qname.exe that u make the name with
and then pasting the namecode to your config file

Ok here is what to do put either ^0,^1,^2,^3,^4,^5,^6,^7 where ever you want in you name like ^1slip would make slip be Slip. Just try it out until you find something you like

how do you paste it in the q3config.cfg file or whatever cause my q3config.cfg file is a "unknown program" or somin and it dosent know what to open it with

yeah i did that and then i put my code for my name where it said seta name then i played quake and my name didnt change

It has to be pasted in the config.cfg file in the excessiveplus folder.
Be sure to place your name in the " "
seta name "flashy blinky name"
your new name will only show up when playing excessiveplus.
