The BF Clan has accepted a CW challenge from WASP2.

WASP2 members, please note the change in TIME from our usual designated Match TIME.

I previously mentioned that a password would be set but we will not enable a password until all members of WASP2 and BF are on the Server. Dissonance will tell everyone when to enter the password.

NOTE: Only BF and WASP2 members will be allowed on the server during the match and all MUST must be using their respective Clan Tags. The ONLY exceptions will be 1 referee (probably Dissonance or 02) and 2 observers/demo recording assistants .

All Wasp2 members, join the server with your Official Clan tag in place.

Uh oh. I tried switching to Debian on Friday night, since Arch was becoming too unstable. Unfortunately, it would not recognize my sound card, so I plan on giving Ubuntu a shot. I will get home at around 6:00 PM EST tonite, so hopefully I am skilled enough to get Ubuntu installed and configured for Quake in an hour. Fortunately, I have my home folder on a separate partition, so all my Quake configs are intact. I will try my best to be available for this CW.

If worst comes to worst I can just play using my laptop, although I've never used it to play Quake before.

[19:39:33] [@di[g]it] A payee receiving a traveler's cheque should follow its normal procedures for depositing cheques into its bank account: usually, endorsement by stamp or signature and listing of the cheque and its amount on the deposit slip. The bank account will be credited with the amount of the cheque as with any other negotiable item submitted for clearance.

Hello Mates and E+ Community,

The scheduled Clan War (WASP2 vs. BF) did not happen.

Biomechanical Forces (BF) could not field even 3 members at more than 30 minutes past the scheduled start time. Nor could they field the minimum 5 members that we agreed to in the CW details above 50 minutes after the scheduled start time.

WASP2 had the RIGHT to win by FORFEIT. This is the second time that BF has failed to show up for a match on time. This first time was a FW that we simply postponed until the following Sunday. This was a Rankwar and therefore we did not have to be nice. Furthermore, the time in the details was changed from the original time of 9:00 PM EST (New York Time) to 7:30 PM EST (New York Time) because BF wanted to play earlier.

However, we decided NOT to take the win and to play a rematch if BF wants to on the 29 or 30 December.

The reason for the post is that after we went out of our way to be good sports, we wanted to have a FW to relieve the pent-up adrenaline but BF actually refused to play the FW until PURE and PB were turned on.

Now, these would have been turned on for the CW, but after all the crap I was in no mood, right or wrong, to accommodate them further. I can't say what happened after because I announced that I was leaving and did so at 8:50 PM.

Anyway, this is my account of the events.

On behalf of WASP2, I would like to thank Spider(HK) and PODBo$$ for agreeing to referee. Guys, I am truly sorry for wasting your valuable time.

but wasp2 members show up late too
Other thing server never was ready for play Pure and PB On ; by the way referees not even show up

and yes thanx to spider for take referee in last moment

Yes and no.

WASP2 had 4 members available at the scheduled time, 1 more 15 minutes later, and 1 (ShadowKDE) very late. But we had the minimum number of players required to start the match while BF had only 1 (Purple) who was very early and Bato who arrived after the 5th WASP2 member. Screenshots provided.

Yes, Pure and PB were not turned on prior to the match. Actually, PB was turned on in the Morning to make sure it updated but I did turn it off a few hours before match time.

Spider(HK) (who has rcon at DHF) was late to the match only because he asked me to MSN him when we were ready. Since we never got "started" until more than an hour after the scheduled time I am glad that I did not MSN him earlier and then have him wait all that time.

WASP2 has no bad blood with BF. We enjoy playing with all the members of BF but your Clan has to be more punctual.

WASP2 is not without fault either. I will get after the two members who were late and insist that my players show up on time as well. Also, I take full responsibility for not having Pure and PB running on the server prior to the start of the match.

Anyway, let's get this issue behind us and reschedule the CW for Saturday, 29 December or Sunday, 30 December. WASP2 cannot do it prior to that date as all students in the Clan have been excused from practice or matches until then.
