CD-ROM spin-up

Hi all

I really dont know if this is problem, but sometimes when i start play or in middle of game my CD-ROM spin-up. Can i remove that by some command ?

What transfer mode are your IDE controllers set to? DMA or PIO? :scratch:

hmm i dont know mate but how can u tell that its spinning if there is no cd in? :scratch:

i havent CD in CD-ROM but my CD-ROM start fake rading or so, i hear that CD-ROM start up. It is same sound/action like when u open your CD-ROM by button...Hope understand...

maybe it tries to read music (next track) from 'cd' or its just another application which doing it - like antivirus or virus maybe :]

you have to check which application really doing it (sysinternals.com - handle/filemon can help you)
