anyone got any ideas what i'm doing wrong? quite new to the game and have some knowledge but seems not enough...

trying to run a excessive plus server and...

Have set pure server to "0" but keeps showing up as a pure server...
and does it matter if i'm running a pure server - i am under the impression that some people might not be able to connect or use custom cursors, skins etc.

have set punkbuster to "0" but it always starts up and cant turn it off inside cfg or by using rcon - have restarted server just kicks in again. ](*,)
also have tried to set pb_sv_extchar1 did this in rcon (as i do not know where to write it in cfg) and i think it asked me to set some <variables> so in the end i renamed the pb folder to pm to stop it from being able to startup.

frag limit comes up at 50 - how? as this is not in any of the cfg settings, i have set frag limit to 40...

maybe i am just missing something blindingly obvious? :oops: or am i doing something completely wrong.... (i have read the manual)

someone please help me!

are you sure you are changing sv_pure ect.....in the srver cfg not just in q3config?

Yes, have changed it in both cfg we are talking the server cfg in the excessive plus folder right?

have just checked it all again and it appears that each map has it's own frag limit, looks like a default setting for each map, does this add any meaning to it?

Pls be free to download some of the bro cfg,s and studie the settings on them u might finde it helpful.allso be free to use it its simple to get it worke, just put bro.cfg in excessiveplus folder and tex bro-rail.cfg in conf folder and startbatt in q3 folder make a shortcut from it to desktop start it and see if settings are like they shall be. if deciding to use and modifie the bro.cfg pls rename it Cool http://www.brocommunity.net.tc

yep i should have said that instead...
get mullder's cfg's.

they are the cfg's everyone uses anway,and if you do want to change the settings...its a very good stable starting point

its what i did.... Happy

yeah, bro.cfg´s really good.
but one asks, what I must set, that the enemys do not lying after i hit them? and when i unfreeze, i havent unfreeze sound.

got it now!!, all suddenly fell in place after some blood sweat and tears and a good look at the bro cfg Laughing .
running 1vs1 at the moment.
watch out for some great stuff coming soon...
