wireless keybs and mice are worse. Wireless connection has higher latences and mainly - LAGS. You can play twenty minutes and after you mouse can have 3s lag etc. Iam working more than 2 years in sales returns and i dont recommend it - many ppl have problems with it.

Iam using microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard 4000 (iam not only one there who have it. I think for example foksie and tyrant have it too). Its good keyboard. Mainly if youre using your PC for work and not only for playing games.

My mouse is actually Gigabyte gm-6880. Its cheap laser mouse with perfect ergonomy...

Mouse

Logitech mx518 is probably the most popular gaming mouse used. Logitech also have the G9 although this quite a bit more expensive.
Then you have Razer who also produce excellent mouses. Deathadder (which I have), diamondback and copperhead. If you have the cash, have a look at the Roccat Kone.

Really though, check the mouse's out in a shop to get a feel of them and see which of them suits you best.

A final point, its also worth investing in a good mousemat - have a look at steelseries. If you go for the Roccat Kone, buy their respective mat.

completely true for mouse, not really true for keyboard. altough im sure there are some cheap cordless keyboards that cause problems.

I am proud of spreading a pirated Excessive Plus version and claim to be the original author, yay!

Wireless keyboards sux too. I tried many wireless keyboards. If youre faster writer, you can see how is keyboard slow. I cant recommend it for any game

if u head for low budget, buy a microsoft intellimouse explorer 1.0 or 1.1a (around 15 euro) take any random keyboard and get a ordinary mousepad.

i dont like microsoft mice because of plastic material. its impossible to play with plastic mouse when your hand is sweating. Its reason why i bought that cheap gigabyte.

there are some photos:

thats a very personal oppinion and neither torz nor me had problem so far with the microsoft mouse, tbh, im angry i bought a 3.0 and not a 1.1a/wmo Winking
only thing u need to do for having a perfect 1.1a is overclocking ur usb port to 500 hz.

edit:
that mousescore thingy is just ranking the technical tracking of the sensor, not comfort, grib and so on.
basically most people do one mistake when buying such things, they thing they will play tons better with such mice, but mouse doesnt incrase skill, it just removes hardware limits.

"I've also devised a second chart to show Bang4Buck as our friends at Hexus like to put it. This one shows how much MouseScore you get for each pound spent on the mouse. For mouse shopping on a budget, this is the chart for you since you can pick a really good value mouse from the list."

here is whole thread, but u might also search forum because this was already discussed.

ps: u should at least measure ur sens right now so u wont have to less dpi, because ms wmo has 400 dpi and thats fine if u play low sens or low resolution.

2. wireless keyboard can bring some probs also, was some occasion, some years ago, we were starting CW and our leader asked to wait 15 min and run to the shop for batteries Tongue

HAHA

for pure gaming you would want wired of course

if you aren't really hardcore and can live with interruptions and latency at times then go for the wireless (I would never go wireless even if it were a pure office set-up)
i would only go wireless if I had no choice or I couldn't trust wires to be out (pets, children, etc)
to better prove a point: look at wifi or wireless net in general, it's usually really lossy. you can expect the same (to a point) with wireless keyboards and mice

I do not really keep up with keyboard technology and don't know if they make any difference at all but I have been using logitech equipment for.. about 5 years+ now. a switch in my mx510 did break last year however it was easily repaired and hasn't given me a problem since. (i would get a 518 if i was in the market though) for my keyboard I use a logitech elite.

You can probably get a 518 new for about $20
the keyboard between 5-20
