Yee nice notebook and i can say from my test it works good. I am selling them were i work. Msi is in price relation best gaming notebook. Stable fps and cooling works nice untill u reach 6 hours of hardcore gaming. In quake u will never have any problems
From my own test at home with kinda the same notebook specifications worked all fine. Tested games like rage, far cry 3 and crysis 3.

Well I think it will serve him a lot more, I heard that new Direct X will reduce Power and increase FPS by even 60% or so

so soon you would have few more years to play all kind of games on it at full gfx I think

I agree with echo, 3 years, maybe maximum 5 years of hardcore gaming, because HDD will most likely bottleneck the thing, of course SSD's solve this problem nowadays.
directX 12 will most likely be available to win8.1 and windows 10, because Microsoft wants us to buy shitty products for optional features. (altho it's presumed & not legit info.)

Palpatine is right. This laptop consumes 120W AC, ordinary gaming PC usually use 500-700W.

This Laptop may be in the top of gaming laptops, but can't reach PC's performance

If it's at least half good as stationary PC Trolle cat, then it's more than fine as a mobile device for gaming, I would be personally satisfied with such laptop for myself for couple of years, I am now on usual notebook on which q3 doesnt want to work smooth on any FPS rate, QL a little better, while I can launch and play GTA V with grass physics being ON, without it it's even smoother, so some games, older or never just needs to be optimized for mobile technology so you can be satisfied with smoothness being in a rush and movement.

I dont care about games anymore so my voice shouldnt count here

nope, it ruins my budget but i've got to invest in it else i won't be having a notebook soon at all and i really want something that will serve for many years so I'm taking it as 'investition' i've got to make.

it's on the road now to the shop, i will be the owner of this beauty within 3 weeks. i'm pretty excited to get it.

Fact - Computers don't last many years, especially laptops, they tend to break due to manufacturing. Also you can have all you need for half the money so ur finances aren't that fucked.
