Netherlands i hope this will help you with youre API problems
quake3.exe and pbsetup.exe.
right mouse click set as administrator and compatable mode to xp sp3 high lighted in RED.
dont do ALT+ENTER and dont run quake in windowed mode !

better solution is to update yours system to the win7 witch is better than vista and doe not have any problems with pb

- if the product working wrong u can probably request a fix of it from the Microsoft
- u can also upgrade from vista to win7 for lower price
- but i think around 80% people still uses Vista downloaded from interned without proper license

Add please:
--change name/xp_name
--change cd-key
i have same problem with pb, until i did that two things. and now i can run pb in windows mode and switch alt-tab to other windows.

windows xp sp2 dark edition, dont see bugs, fast as a shark, and quake works graet
