Hello there guys.
I've played Quake III Arena a long time ago, I stopped it for like a year.
Now when I try to download it again, I never get to see servers on quake.
Could someone help me out about how to see the servers?

I did, it doesn't find any servers. Do you know where I can download excessive plus too?

And I don't understand the excessiveplus.net/spider site lol, I just registered here for some help.

add this lines to ur q3config.cfg

seta sv_master1 "master0.excessiveplus.net"
seta sv_master2 "master0.gamespy.com"
seta sv_master3 "master.quake3arena.com"
seta sv_master4 "master0.gametracker.com/search/q3/"

Could someone fix it with teamviewer or something ? ._.

It seems that your problems lies in "c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\"
search the file "hosts" edit it and make sure its says only (at the lines without #):

127.0.0.1 localhost

Hope that's the problem mate...
Ot it could be router and/or port forwarding problem, open all ports between 27000-30000... or plug the internet connection directly to your computer, whisper a little prayer and see if its working... Happy

dunno why but in quake i can only view the servers when I put sorting to "all gametypes"
otherwise it doesn't show any servers at all...

try refreshing with "all gametypes" - works for me
or just use this http://www.excessiveplus.net/spider

I have the same setup and it's work for me.
After u added this lines and saved the changes:
1. start Quake 3
2. click on "Multiplayer"
3. click on "Servers" and change from "Local" to "internet" --> all the available servers will appear Winking

EDIT: if that doesn't work go to --> C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Quake III and delete all the files in this folder (I mean just the .cfg files!!)!!! afterwards try the steps again. this works only if u have win7!
