Sup guys. I am targeting the Alienware M18X to buy it when it will be out, but I heard Alienware have problems with overheating and the PSU. Is there anyone that can confirm this? This machine will cost at least $2,000 so I want to make sure it's money well spent. Please let me know if you have any info my concerns. Thanks!

isnt better desktop PC instead of huge laptop? This monster isnt for daily moving and desktop PC for similar price will be much faster Winking

Hi there and thank you for your answer. I am considering moving to SKorea and I don't like to carry a 32 inch screen with me nor a huge chassis. Tongue hihi. Also, I would love to get a laptop as it will look sleeker of course and will also not make as much noise a PC. The power that a $2,000 PC would need per hour, will clog me up with a very big electricity bill at the end of the month, considering it will run at least 12 hours a day. The Alienware M18X hasn't stepped on the market yet, but I was impressed with its performance. Considering its price, performance and other factors, I may or may not decide on this brand. Thank you again for your answers and to anyone that has taken the time to read my topic. I still await for your suggestions if any. Thanks!

Triv thanks for the advice. I don't understand what you mean with "memory effect" though. Can you please tell me? Cause I know that it's better you get the laptop battery removed, if you want to plug it in and use an outlet.

example: usualy this battery will last 6 h (i just pick random numbers as its an example Tongue) when using psu while battery is installed after some time the battery will just last 5 h then 4 h and sooner or later ur laptop just will work with psu

SO I assumed right triv. I know that and will mostly use it without battery, just psu. Of course, the price is the main problem and I will see how much this laptop will cost me. If it's too expensive, I won't buy it. If you have any gaming laptop ideas hit me. Winking
