is it not possible in any way, if somebody get banned, that he get global banned on all excessive servers?

i have no idea, maybe dumb question

yes oldvamp, this topic is helpful against cheaters with a fix ip, but if u wanna ban me with ip, for what cause ever, than i just restart my internetconnection and i have a other ip. And banning just the subnet is dangerous, cause u ban just not one person withit.

The new version of XP is also able to ban the client, the key, the ip in one ban, and that should get worked on all membered X+ servers, that they get updated from a central database with bans.

wow, chill out, i was jsut saying that there was allready a place to post cheaters who have been baned.

The problem with an automated database is, if someone is banned for the wrong reason, they would atuomatically be baned everywhere. How frustrating would that be, to be baned everywhere because someone who didn't know you tought you were cheating. There would have to be a system where bans had to be approved to be added to the global ban list.

lol, there is no cause to chill out, cause i am chilled!

It's just, that the ip-ban list is well known and in 60-70 percent of all ip-bans is sencless, in this case, it is just a temporary solution for the most cheaters, cause the most people haven't a fix ip.

But maybe there is a possiblite 2 ban in 2 ways, for the cheaters, who are cheating for sure (autoaim is jumping form player to player) = banned globaly, and for cheaters, for who it is really hard to say (maybe a trained autoshooter or wallhacker) = banned just specificly on 1 server.

Again, oldvamp, i just bring up suggestions, i don't wann rule here anything, cause i have no ideas about the way to realise it. So, please, don't missunderstand me as nervous or unpolite person, i try just to help:D

kick first though, everyone deserves to be given one chance to "mend their ways"
then ban the f**k@rs :twisted:
i have only got a short ban-list on Gods-Frag farm, shame that it will surely grow...
