you kinda answer your own question ...

(these are all theories)

autoshot: shots when crosshair is over target. manual aim, fires automaticly

aimbot: aims/snaps to target. manual fire, automatic aim.

though imo and out of my observations theese are often the same 3 party applications, just that the user can choose what settings he want ...

but as i said, theories.

i seriously don't under stand why people have servers in 1.32 point release and there is no Punkbuster turned on them...

get a clue already.

The worst aimbot I've ever seen was when this "The-Bot" guy played, he was spinning constantly in 360°, switching targets, shooting everything in his sight. The aimbot both switched and centerd around targets, and fired.

Other aimbots seem less advanced, only centering on players and letting the player push the mouse button. Also, why are most aimbotters names written with capital letters?

It took me like 2 weeks to finally figure out why I couldnt conect ot any servers. One reason was the Peerguardian was blocking all attempts to connect to the id? server and the second one was that PB kept on kicking me to Spectator mode cuz I didnt have an updated version of PB which I couldnt figure out how to update lol
I'm sure many newbies got the same frustrations like I did.

Wrong, that onlyn proves that some n00bs don't even read messages from console as it clearly states that PB forces you to spec until you update your PB version, we even offer help tru msn or any other means and many n00bs have managed to connect to our server, there are very rare exceptions when a player can't connect at all bnut over all PB have done a great difference in our servers, it is worth trying it, since using personal point of view to decide if someone is cheating isn't fair and meany times you end up kicking the wrong guy.
