That will not work because the teams change themselves permanently.

its easier to organise 2v2 cw than normal 4v4 ^^

2 Major problems:
A: People tend to wait for their favorite teammate/best player, especially semi active people cause giant wait times then.
B: Whenever a player switches teams, he creates a balancing problem in ranking, ergo ranking never displays the skills of the teams.

and more problems, fix them and you get your ranking, otherwise rank moderation wont work on it.

so what about 2 players per team only?
play games same way as 1v1 rank ?
one player leaves a team that team is no more.
