John Paul the 2nd was a good man, though I never felt something after his death I would feel if one of my family members passed away, as many in Poland say they do. For those evol heretic blasphemous devilish nefarious antichrists here, christian or no christian I'm pretty sure he was one of the better ones. RIP in heaven if there is one.

He was a great pope... but poes usually are...

I see how he means much more to Polish people as a great contributor to religion and being the 1st Polish Pope, so polish people are bound to be more aware...

I'd feel the same if there was a Russian pope, except that our form is Christianity is Orthodox, so there never will be, and that was a source for conflicts between Ukraine and Poland back 20-80 years ago (since 988 AD most probably), and was the basis for the Taras Bul'ba book (novel? story? hard to find an english term Laughing... so there Tongue
