I can do it :D

Sooooooo after a lot of attempts, I am now able to do it. It's totaly useless but damn it feels good when you do it on your own.

Just for the record 5.66 secondes is the world record for that kind of rubik's cube. I know, I know my time sucks xD but I did it Tongue

It's all about the algorithms - get them et voila - you'll be able to solve 50x50 rubic's too (which might take some considerable amount of time of ur life though).
n1 anyway

Related to algorithms, the maximum number of moves required to solve a rubik cube is : 20.

Yes, and there're two ways to achieve that every time you try to solve a rubic's - practice hard for 10.000 years or be google's supercomputer Happy I wonder which methods they used to define the "superflip" position as the hardest possible.

I don't think its the hardest, Its mind bugging for sure but its not the only position with 20 moves required to solve.

Check this webpage http://www.cube20.org/ for the distance table.

Hmm, it seems that 20 moves is the bottom ultimate limit, since they've reduced the gap between the 2 bounds to 0, and in addition they've proved it as a theorem. And the method they've used, especially the partitioning segment, after defining the optimal number of sets and positions, is just amazing. I bet these guys count Rubik's cubes instead of sheep when they go to bed...
