its rather about shocking athmosphere, i just was shocked 2 times in doom3 and most enjoying moments was being down at plasma gun with 13hp and just a pistol with 120 bullets left against 8+ imps or something, took me a few tries ;>
gotta look if i got deadspace laying around somewhere but i guess no time at always Sad

ds 1 was awesome. ds 2 even is more awesome. both games are from "must to be played"

doom 3 imho was a piece of shit. I wasn't scary even once, may be cause I was like "wtf stupid game, dark is everywhere but fuck it is not scary, it is really annoying"
