Sup people? Big grin
This thing has been in my mind for quite a while now and as gamers this might have passed through most of us here. Well, I want to talk about skills, skills in FPS.

First would be skill transfer,

FPS maybe FPS but there's vast difference between games. The matter is that I mostly play FPS games and what we play, when multiplayer is concerned, is related to popularity.

Here, in my place the most popular game is the dreaded CS 1.6. Its a game I hate and enjoy XDI hate the fact how the aiming system and the whole philosophy behind the game is. The aim I feel is scripted kind of random, which can be learned through memorization which sucks. And the overall game encourages camping mostly. I hate camping. However, the game is enjoyable. I've noticed that getting better at Quake won't necessarily help in CS 1.6 completely, but to some extent it might. The bad part is getting better in CS 1.6 won't help me with Quake at all, not at all.

I play some other games too like COD4 and Halo. COD4 is casual and Halo takes some serious skills too.So guys and gals, how much a game effects the other in terms of skill? Make or break?

Next is your tangible skill based on your competitor,

When I play with people that are less skilled, my skills go down, i.e., I don't give it my best.I have a habit of "giving chance" but I can't control it. You guys might say how could I know that the other guys is of lesser skill and I'm of more, it can be, through knowledge and performance, I know how much I can perform, and I know when I'm doing my worst. Being unable to control sucks. Especially in COD4, cheap tricks there.

A lot of things in my mind regarding this but unable to express. I'd like to hear some response from this awesome community, I feel home here. XD
