There's not much 'we' can do. Imo only way E+ can be brought back to full activity (or saved from death, depends on how you look at it) is a new version, + some changes to the more popular configs.

yep, i think 1.04 would have brought some live back to e+, but nobody knows whats up with 1.04 now oO

it would be great to have another few hundreds of players, but then imagine the panic which would arise here. Also, we cant put advertisers on roads Winking

hah that wont really work... D: many people know about the mod but dont use it at all...the only ONLY thing we can do is find a way to be better than that damn cpma....with 1.04 we gotta keep the same e+ element but make it something nobody has seen...maybe like different gametypes to a really kick ass config or something, idk....but really advertisement wont get us anywhere Big grin

Perhaps more democracy in community ? More tolerance, more contributive talking on forums which will produce synergy without making uber solutions from top ?

Rena you're back? I so did NOT miss you.

Anyways, take into consideration that Q3 is a 10 year old game! Performant pc parts do not cost so much nowadays, so more and more ppl are tempted by newer games. Just some oldschoolers might still come around Q3 servers, but they are not many. What can we do to make it popular? Almost nothing.

Everything that has a beginning, has an end. Gotta love Matrix, init?

I can't agree with you. E+ WAS very strong community, small but very opened, gentle, in other words great community. When I come. Unfortunately now is not a same as was 2 years a go. Everybody was full of positive energy, like one small family.

That was like magnet for me. E+ server was first q3 server online on which I play my first q3 game. I spot link on www.excessiveplus.net, I come here and stay. I never even try other mod... Because I was so surprised how great community is...

So, in my humble opinion. It is not matter what people play, it is matter of gathering. Kids can play simplest and stupidest game in real life, but if friendship is great, everybody will have good time and motive to stay together. Why E+ losing members is IMHO bad atmosphere in E+ community.

But that is only my opinion. Maybe exists other people which share similar thoughts as I do.

BTW: I don't miss you to Trance.

the number of players on servers hasnt dropped, some leaving some coming.

thx to glizda and camel for that.

still way more players as when i started here in 2003 for a few days and finnaly switched to e+ end of 2004.

about trance. imo he does a good job, even we are NOT friends. mods and admins will be always in the crosshair of some people (always the same people), no matter who is the mod or admin.

Everybody who becomes admin will also become punches in the face of those people, just because for cleaning the forum from stuff.

say what u want, i saw it and it wont change.
