Simple trick to play demos by double-click without special software. I think some of you will like it:

1.
Copy DemoPlayer.bat into Q3 directory and use it to open .dm_68 file types
it goes sth like: open with list->search...(?) button->locate DemoPlayer.bat file [check: always use....] (or add in file types manager/registry).

2.
Copy demo.cfg file into "excessiveplus" directory or
make binds in your own config (last line needs to be edited then: "+exec yourconfig.cfg")

DemoPlayer.bat
[code:1]@echo off

cd /D %0\..
copy %1 "excessiveplus\demos\temp.dm_68" /Y
start quake3.exe +set fs_game excessiveplus +exec demo.cfg +demo temp.dm_68[/code:1]
demo.cfg
[code:1]// Demo player config
bind leftarrow "vstr slow0"
bind rightarrow "vstr fast0"
bind uparrow "timescale 1"
bind downarrow "timescale 0"

set fast0 "timescale 2; bind rightarrow vstr fast1"
set fast1 "timescale 3.5; bind rightarrow vstr fast0"
set slow0 "timescale 0.6; bind leftarrow vstr slow1"
set slow1 "timescale 0.3; bind leftarrow vstr slow0"

timescale 0 //starts paused[/code:1]

This batch will create temp.dm_68 file - a copy of original demo in "excessiveplus\demos" folder so that location of played demo could be anywhere on your HD.

Don't know if this is gonna work on Vista OS.
