lol i rarely join your server i dont know why other limes do but i think this proves that we can play in both pb+pure servers and servers that dont have plus we can kick ass even against cheaters in your server

on the first one , i had a pak0.pk3 wich i found out to be in size...less the the original version. ( there were some sounds i didnt have ) .or at least lighter than a friend had. ( wich was also a ripped version )..so i asked a player to give it to me via msn....Evol.Kosy .He did and it took us 6 or seven hours to download but i have now a 'better' pak0.pk3 file that contains most if not all sounds , footsteps etc....
Now , the point i want to make , is that...how can i compare if my q3 installation , matches perfectly the one of the original release , and of server , with all the files in it , if i cant buy the CD in my country.????
2/ should i have two installation of q3? like this :
a/ one with all the maps and custom pk3 in it...to have fun on servers..
b/ a second installation wich is 'clean' , i mean no map , etc?this is pushing the organisation too far , i think...maybe i ll do it , of more and more clans asks for pure servers on clan wars , but , it isnt the case now , as most of clans we played dont ask for PB or pure.
can somebody answer this?

even if you dont have original quake 3 my friend like most people in here dont , then at least make the downloaded one a descent one. Download pbsetup.exe and update your pb, make sure you dont have any files in your q3 folder that you dont need and PM mowli so he can give you a key you can use on his servers. not having an original game doesnt mean you shouldnt be clean my man

All i can say is for all those ppl that think .DA| is cheaters then i say to you i am no cheater. I never have been and never will be so dont brand me. You dont even know me. And i am not flaming here i am just saying I dont cheat.

u must have orginal pak0.pk3, without any modification cuz pure look checksum. My tips: download again q3.

yes, its only a game. if you wanna play your, lets say, football games where the other team says that each of your goals is invalid, and proclaim any kickoff they make as a goal, then go ahead.
i, and i guess 99% of people, want their football with a refree, line judges, and a big nice field, when its played for rank.
when you play with friends, then you play whatever you like, with goalkeepers or without, with just one goal, without ball... whatever makes you happy.
when you play for rank, you play with all the rules loud and clear.

its true, if you cant/wont buy a real quake version, at least spend some time working on having a decent q3 version.
you dont necesarilly need several quake instalations. instead just note all external files in your q3 directory, then make a simple batch that will move them to a backup directory, and one that will return them. maybe 15 minutes of typing to make it work. then just run the thing before cws to make sure you wont cause problems to your team.
if you have more hard drive, no point in not having more q3 versions. i myself have 3, point release 1.32, 1.0 and 1.x (not sure wich one, but rockets still hurt through walls), simply cause some of my friends refused to update to never patches.
