Hey i love open opensource,,,Started with Mandrake-linux...if it was not for linux well Lindows and the open source ves of Quake2 i would never started playing Quake 3 or anyother shooter games...

nothing is new under the sun

Hello,

I have been on servers with PB and its ok ..but odd (kicked, or something), then been on servers that don't have PB and thats ok too but the players have an option to vote to kick a player. Then I have been on servers were there is no PB or vote option which totally sucks.

I usually go into spec mode and watch the little cheat ..and just annoy them as much as I can ...but it's not fun to sit on the side lines and wait till they are gone.

I don't mind getting kicked in the butt by a better player :twisted: :roll: because I can learn from experience, but when a cheater is doing the kicking..theres nothing to learn, for newbies,me or anyone.

Hello,

yo i'm a host for a server (if i havent said it enough it's kill or be killed) now i have 2 things to say

1: like some one said earlier pb wont update for some people- verry true pb wont even tell me how to up date and if i run the server with it on server goes heywire and starts kicking anything and everything and sometimes even locks up my pc so i gave up on it

2: also not every body knows how to enable half of the features like voting (i still dont know if it's on or what)

so some one start makeing auto updates for pb or start makeing more specific manuals for moding settings or quit bitching!!

All nonsense and no facts, if you don't like it don't go there, maybe you have something to hide :twisted: , and BTW maybe a few manage to cheat with PB enabled, but as soon as a new PB update is relased they get caught and well shame on them, most cheaters are detected by pb now, but kicking someone who you think is cheating is no fair, imagine you see someone like HQ playing on your server for first time and you ban him cause you think he is cheating ooh that's bad Karma dude lol.

Think I agree....oooooooo about 100 percent with that...

Sorry spider man pb is the way to go, I cant update xp to sp2 because of it, but I can live with that

I don't know what's the prblem with SP2 I have sp2 and pb gives me no problems perhaps it is a some weird conbination of hardware and software that cause the problem not sure about that but my 3 pc run sp2 ok with pb.

Anyways is good to know you agree and so do many other smart guys like you.
