spawncamping ??? ...when we played cw against evol (i thing it was evol)
i placed myself on dm11 right behind a spawn point and spawnfragged like hell. I didn't get a high frag count but i think my death/kill was < 1.
This i did ofcause to compensate for me being rusty that day, and if this is what have to be done I will do it eventhough there are certain unwritten rules moralities and sportsmanship to consider.
The unwritten rule atm in e+ is the above: to grap every means nessary(acording to the rules in the game) inorder to win eventhough it includes spawncamping, quad ect.
Trouble an u Bo and many other i guess want this to be changed ...right ?
And u want to do it by imposing concepts of sportsmanship and sports morality into the present unwritten rule.
But what u are talking about is not gonna happen ....u want to change the mind of the twisted, "winning at all costs", person. Think about it, u cannot change every e+ player into Mats Wilander eventhough it would be "more fun". I think it's impossible and i dont know if the game will be more fun

W00t I just did it 58 seconds 3 caps and NO multijumps no BFG shots railgun only I am the king it kinda sucks though cause no1 will play with me I have to use a different name

I dont want everyone to become Mats Wilander. I just think that there is a middle way between "All means necessary" and Mats Wilander. I am 100% sure you dont use "All means necessary right" now. Cheating is a "means" to victory, but yeah, you might mean "All means necessary" but still within the rules. Do you spawncamp on FFA? In a cw fine, spawncamp, in a cw, I agree on the All means.
Someone called it evolution, that we start camping more. That tactical progress has led us to camping more since it needs skill to hold the most attractive spots on the map and it generates more frags then moving around. I disagree, I dont think it is progress when you are slowing a mod that is created to be FAST down. Besides, if you are playing the game without camping, if you are the best player on the map you will still win if noone else is camping and I bet you would have more fun too. Also, I agree that it takes skill to hold the best campspots, its a skill and only the best players can do it effectivelly, no arguing there. What I am arguing is that that skill will ruin the gaming experience for others and scare newcomers away. The few highskilled people dont mind much I guess in general. they will get a share of the frags on another area or enjoy the fight for the spot, but what about all others? The ones that simply dont have the skill to fight for the spot or hold an area. What they see is that every single time the spawn in a certain area they get killed by the same person. If they come from another mod or fps they see it as it is, simple camping and noone is arguing about it, this must be amazing for them since this behaviour is not tolerated in any other mod or fps *that I have played in any extent* and they will probably leave.
I came back to e+ about a month ago as UnmaimedPlayer, didnt play too much and was simply amazed to see how much camping was going on in e+, I never really saw it before I started playing something else since I started q3 with e+. I got pissed and started new nick since too many ppl knew who UnmaimedPlayer was and started speccing and looking if it was as bad as it felt when playing. I mean i coulda just misunderstood or been unlucky but no, its simply camping and I see old friends doing it and defending it 
I just dont like the direction this mod is taking..

Well i agree 2 that this mode is becoming 2 a little sneakky camping mode & i agree what you are saying 2 Bo Butt How are ppl here defining camping Is it when a player stand on a spot whit glue in hes as? and stays there all the time or is it when a player just moves in a small area all the time. Iff a good player camps lets say on FFR and you want 2 beat that guy you cant impossible runn evrywhere on the map (even though you should wonned 2 do) you must camp 2 or you will never have a change 2 beat the guy! Thats the way it is.I agreé whit you Un when you said that its impossible 2 make evry 1 2 Matts willander here 2 bad though it would sure be much more funn whit less camping butt i think the camping is mabey so orginal in the game 2 day that i think ppl forgett that they are doing it!

If we are going to compare q3 playing style to tennis, I much prefer Bjorn Borg.....maybe a little base line camping perhaps.... 
, but a true example of grace under pressure......and even has possibly the coolest name on the planet......hmm another Swedish person...what do you guys put in the water over there?
