I run 3 second spawn protection on my servers, gives you enough time to move from the spawn area to get in the game. Other than that in other peoples servers you have to like it and get better at playing the maps or disonnect.

this is all fair and well, spawn killing is fine, unless its in the same spot, even in clan wars it seems tactic now to camp a spaw point to gain control, i dont agree with this but its become accepted.

i think the main problem with spawn kills is freeze, i was playing ffa earlier and 2 players in particular camped out, i would love to name them but im not starting a flame, there was countless times the same person fragged me at the same spot, actually i think bert was there (he didnt camp ) well i did get anrgy but ffa you just dust yourself off and keep going, i won a map or 2 then gave in cause it was bfg chaos grrr.
but with freeze you get thawed, its down to you last man on team then bang, your railed or spawn into some nice players bfg rocket or nade, this is totally unfair to the team and the spawning player, i dont care what anyone says, when you spawn you cant see much for a second and have to adjust to location, your enemy is there hearing you spawn and alrady anticipating his move, to say this is just to kill the spawner is wrong, but then again i have tried to avoid spawners for a while now, and even then i get scum shooting me as i leave the area, thanks moron i will frag your spawn next time.

so its a frag or get fragged situation, and the problem with spawn protection is you loose control twitch in a corner and if your lucky maybe get away with it IF YOUR LUCKY.

and this is sooo funny to watch - it makes me laugh every time... haha haha
