hello,

i run my system with a nvidia fx 5900xt, xp2500+, asus a7v8x-8(via kt400). yesterday i reinstall my windows cause some software problems.

now i get a problem with my v-card. on the pic u see what i mean. my board, gpu support agp Skull only the "BS (windows XPSP2)" dont support it. i try with fast write enable/disable, other nvidia forceware (actual 77.72), other via 4 in 1 driver -> but still that agp 2x mode. the bios is actual and all windows updates are installed!

before i reinstall windows, all works fine with agp Skull! but with this 2x crap all is soooo slow Sad
to see this option on the forceware i use "coolbits 2.0" (its only a simply registry add)

i searched by google, there are some ppl with the same problem, but no realy answare. so i post here and hope someone can help.
the reason for that coolbits is, that all 3d games or programs switch my monitor to 60hz and that kill my eyes.

for seting refresh rate use "reForce"

for checkin actual seting "rivaTuner"

contol panel meny times is mistake.....

im no so siure its AGP problem cose iven with AGPx2 preformance deferences are not big

serch bios for:

PCI/AGP Palete snop "disabled"
Asign IRQ for VGA "enabled"

also run "dxdiag" and watch accleatrion for DD D3D nad AGP are enabled

i dont find a really solution for my problem, but the 60hz problem is solved.

the settings in bios which u discribed was set before

dunno then what it is meybe, drivers insures, or some adapters trying to use same irq as vga :roll:

did u try to load bios defaulds or safe settings ?

Probably a daft question, but have you installed the latest motherboard drivers (including AGP miniport driver)?

ths driver is attached with win xp

but he may try to insyal hypervision pack or gart driver Happy

in new nvidia forceware page with refresh is dissable. Reinstal forceware 56.xx or use rivia tuner http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163.

BTW. past in your cfg [code:1]seta r_displayRefresh "120"[/code:1] it fix refresh speed in q3.
