It is the best way not to loose popular topics and then creator can make the same thread for example What blasts from ure speakers now v.2

so i think closing topics is good but im not sure after what amount of posts they disapair

no it isnt, i think its good idea, cuz of data limit on this site. If i heard right this forum has limits too, so some of topics r closed to save some space for another topics. REVOLUTION= clean all senseless topics... Tongue

say you have a thread that(like my old one) 800+ replys

They lock it

I start another that is then 2 threads that will be huge

Therefor that would be more storage space needed on the server because then there would be 2 threads

In conclusion just let the threads go on if you close them after they get to long then another will pop up that will enventually grow to the same size just creating more of a mess.

IMHO its a good idea because anyways your threads are being deleted so react before your threads get deleted and make new ones say after the thread reached 55 pages or smth Happy good idea deze i'm with you Winking

i see where dez is coming from, but it will take more memory and i preffer everything in one thread than 5 about the same thing, but it aint a dmb idea Happy

dark read my post Happy anyways after about 55 pages most threads are cancelled Tongue so instead of cancelling some script could be created so that the previous thread goes into the history threads and a new one starts with the format of <locked threads' name> v(n+1) where n is set to 1 at the first time the thread begins Tongue
