I agree...E+ isn't dead to me. I see a lot of n00bs show up in servers a lot and as I said before...I have no problems at least pointing them in the right direction.

After all...I'm not going to tell them everything...they too need to EARN thier place among E+ warriors. :twisted:

Hey TERMINATOR...thanx for the welcome. Slip and I are moving up fast.

I don’t want to sound ignorant by saying this or put the game down in any way but Quake III Arena is and has been sold at Wal-Mart “an American super store” for over one year.
My point is for $9.99 people are buying the game like hot cakes, most of them are just looking for a new game to play, and the other $9.99 games they sell are crap, like Vagus casino and crap.

Anyhow I meet a lot of people in the game section doing just that, looking for a new game to play, I have met over 30 people in the past few months, recommended the game and informed them about the mod and invited them to my server. I trade E-mail addresses, cell phone numbers to keep in contact with the people and try to get them into the game.

For those of you who have been on my server you know it isn’t the most skill related setup, anyone can look like a pro on there first experience with an online game on my server. I do this for just that reason, I want it to be a fun game to them, if they think it is to hard they just give up and stick to the single player witch we all know gets old real quick making Quake III Arena just another $9.99 game sold at Wal-Mart.

With Games like Doom 3 on the rise people are progressing onward thinking it’s over all a better game, if they have the cash to get a system that can run the game well more power to them, but for 3 years in my opinion Quake III Arena lead the game market for first person shooters and should always be honored, even taken off the shelf, dusted off and played once in a while.

At my house there will always be a server running with newbie’s on it because I try to make a difference, I try at every Wal-Mart to make the best first impression I can on an excellent game and we all should do that to make a good game and an excellent mod stay alive.
