yeh well its a bit of a paradox do we say nothing and most have no idea what it is (most still don’t lol ) so the people that use it get away with it. Or talk about it to try and get it fixed.

the solution is there and simply up to servers either get rid of rockets or set cycle of rockets to same as rail 1000, I tested this with switch time of 1, stalls the fast rocket/ rail switch.
that will atleat fix the rocket switch which is most popular and effective for firepower. Funny how it got a lot more popular after threads about it where started.

then u block combos but not reswitching

what i can do, i kep it in sicred sinence 6 months or more, but when i see on servers that ppl using it its no more good idea to block knowledge about it

one thing can eliminate this with 100% accuracy, taff rules like on ring0 servers, breaking reload cycle of rail is not aloved, no mater its script or manual, u can get ban for that,.

Try this
Start Weapons: 345;

Grenade Launcher {
Ammo: 50;
Cycle: 800;
Damage: 700;
Splash Damage: 450;
Speed: 700;
Regen: 1600;
Radius: 200;
Knockback: 0;
Style: 1;
Bounce: 2;
Gravity: 1;
Time to Live: 1000;
Sky: 0;
Weight: 1.0;
Self Damage: 0;
}

Rocket Launcher {
Ammo: 100;
Cycle: 1000;
Damage: 900;
Splash Damage: 600;
Speed: 900;
Regen: 0;
Radius: 120;
Knockback: 200;
Style: 0;
Bounce: 0;
Gravity: 0;
Homing Factor: 0;
Time to Live: 15000;
Sky: 1;
Weight: 1.0;
Self Damage: 0;
}

I randomly came across this thread while searching for config, as you do...

A while back I used a script which automatically fired a rocket after a rail, I didn't realise that it reduced the reload time. I think Wax pointed it out to me and I stopped using it soon after that.

I assume the cheat script uses the same principle as the one I wrote - fire, wait a while, change weap, fire again - and what I noticed is that while you're performing the wait, input is frozen, so if I was running forward and fired, I couldn't move backwards, jump, strafe etc. until the rocket had fired. I also used a script to switch to BFG, fire, and switch back to rail - it took ages to change to BFG, and half the time didn't fire.

If the cheat script has all those problems, it's more of a hindrance than a help (I play no better or worse now I've changed my config, and I don't manually abuse the delay unless I'm filling my knickers and randomly pressing all the buttons as fast as I can hoping I kill the other guy first).

One last point - I now use 1 button to change to rail or rocket. Is that considered lame or just lazy? If I had more fingers I wouldn't bother doing it...

lol yeah, how was this altering the reload time?? was it actually press one button and it shoots rail then a rocket, or switching shoots the weapons??

Thinking Shock Cool

1 button fired, switched to rocket, waited, fired rocket, switched to rail.

Obviously I made the delay as short as possible which inadvertantly broke the reload cycle. Weird how id didn't fix the bug in any of the point releases.
