invalid gamefolder

i keep getting this message on some servers and its bugging me real bad now. Ive tried everything i could find about this problem, I've deleted all ununessesary pk3 files in baseq3 folder, i've tried disabling pb, but when i did that and reconnected i get messages like couldnt load q3dm6.bmp for example. I have fully installed e+ again, just keeping my cfg files i use, I deleted my pb folder, and reinstalled fresh new copy with the new pbsetup.exe. Yet on some servers im still getting this message, for example the deva tdm server, which doesnt help, and the 2sweet 1v1 pure ect, its driving me mental, can anyone suggest anything else?

ps. cmd's ive tried already

/pb_sv_disable
/pb_cl_disabl
/sv_pure 0
/sv_strictauth 0

also tired a selection of different cd-keys too, i dont know wtf to do.

what do you mean? modify one, or delete the modified ones, which ive already done, i just have in my baseq3 folder pak0-8.pk3, q3key, games.txt and q3config.cfg

and check values:

im just gonna download quake 3 again....im just to angry to go through all this hassle just to get on a god damned server.

for example , the pak0.Pk3 file , original one , that has been released in the original q3 has a certain size. you must have the same file , if the server has it.

on some servers ( they are very rare ) , some have not original pak0.pk3 file in their folders for example...it is still gonna check yours and tell you 'invalid game folder' again.(mismatch)

but the best way is to have the right size of all files ( original q3)..i ll PM you with an adress where you can download a q3 installation from scratch. and a good one ( tx to HQ).

its ok now i downloaded proper working orginal, and everything is ok now.

ive got "invalid folder" problem today after i typed too many special colors in my name (16 letters, two colors for each letter) Happy
