Hm, i don´t meen to bring it or you down a notch but this isn´t very spectacular to me. Seeming 4 of my closest friends all have major and master degrees from Berkley and has played both carnegie Hall and Maddison square @ the age of 15. I got some cool vids of them doing Some mozart and paganini symphonys on 4 acoustic guitars @ the age of 8. I can say that one of the pieces they play is ranked to be one of the most complex compositions ever made. The funny thing is that they started in the same classical music class @ age of 3. I couldn´t even hold a guitar @ that age.... But is so sick, maby i can get the to email me a copy of their first performance @ age of 4 and a half. That is some sick shit.

So considering that my closest friends are total morons and live, eat, shit and sleep classical music, its pretty hard for me to get impressed by a 14 y who im sure of is pretty good... But anyway.....

Well, part of the reason this canon is immortal is because of its simplicity. I wasn't overly impressed with his interpretation at all, but I'm always happy to see a younger person with interest in music other than what's on the radio/TV/in magazines.

I've seen and heard literally thousands of transcriptions for guitar, works by many great composers (several of the Bach family, Paganini, Tartini, Corelli, Haydn, Mozart, and so on)... but never really liked them. My favorite transcriptions are probably Liszt's piano transcriptions of all 9 of Beethoven's symphonies. Big grin

But yeah. Not all that impressed either. It's just nice to see this simple little piece of music still lives on.
