hi, i am from austria and at first, i have to excuse me for my english, and i hope, i am writting this in the rigt group of the forum.
i have a very important question (important for me Happy )
im oftne play excessive in the net like the server [EN] insta gib or like something of this. could i use this config of the server also in a lan game, if
yes, how?
I mean, the weapons shouldn`t shoot so fast and i wann`t take damage by making rocketjump or things like that
hope for answers,

yes, i have searched, and i also have found something. is it right, that it is the server config i have to load, when i want to play a listening server on lan?
but when i write in console fs_game Excessive i get an answer (game is writeprotectet or things like that)
or the game writes to me:
OP_BLOCK_COPY NOT ALIGNED
does someone know, what i have to do?

jea u can use it in lan.
and jea u have to load a config for that. which one .. i dont know what "style" u want Happy

but here u can find the configs for bro/mr servers style
www.frvclan.de.tc -> FTP -> cfg_17okt05_1.zip

unpack - read the readme - start the server ...

where u can get the other configs - ask the admins of the servers.

is it right, that i have to copy this in my quake folder were quake.exe is in it? and than i just have to start the *.bat?

hehe, ok, i have done all these things but know i have a problem again Laughing
in readme.txt is written, when i want to play on lan, i have only to open lauchn (gametype).bat
ok, i have done this, but the gametype doesn't change, why?
does i need an extra pc where quake is on it, with which you cant play?
and when i type in fs_game Lan_1v1 it tell me, game is write protectet, what do i make wrong? Crying

u use fs_game in batch file nad in console u change gametype by g_gametype "mumber"

basic commands :

g_gametype // change gametype 0 FFA, 1 1v1, 3 TDM, 4 CTF, 5 RTF, 6 1FCTF, 7 CA, 8 FTAG, 9 PTL
exec // execing cl personal settings or server cfg
load // loads weapon cfg (load "dir/file")
map_restart // restart maps
map "name" // load map
sv_maxclients // set max number of clients wich be aloved to connect
sv_maxrate // set badwitch of serwer
nextmap // skit to next map in rotation
addbot "name" "skill" // adding bot
fraglimit // change fraglimit
timelimit // change timelimit
kick "id" // kick somebody bot/player form id slot
kick allbots // will kick all bots on server
players // display list of player thier internet setuings and id
stats "player id" // display player statistics
sv_fps // more = beter precysion, for lan games should be set to 125, default is 20
g_warmup // set seconts before each game to warmup a bit
g_speed // set speed of moving default 320, bro 350

good to run in lan is run 2 copies of q3 server(dedicated) and client, then u need to use on clienside window /rconPassword and /rcon cmd

for rest informatios read e+/docs/index.html ...
