'even' arguing, english dictionary help me out
dunno how it is in english
but in polish line like
even if game was more even cose beter players in barcelona team was plaing then still mazur karczew would win
im was debating abot word even, couse im was writing it wrong 'iven' , and then discower it is writen the same and has two meanings
even game
even if
btw to construction of that line is proper or not?
I would attempt to structure the sentence like this:
Even if the game was more even cos players in barcelona were playing, Mazur Karcew would win.
And indeed it has 2 meanings,:
1 - even=pretty equal:
KO and LEM had pretty even scores for 12 minutes on dm17
2 -even=if, like:
Even if you buy a new big boi mouse, Shady, you will still suck at quake.
the first is clear i think
team 1 =100 points
team 2 =100 points
..... scores are even
Second is a liltle more difficult to explain...shady explains it well, ill try and expand on his definition if it helps.
HQ gets beat 15-0 in a 1v1 match vs a noob even though HQ has played e+ for years and his very skilled.
to describe the use in the second example.
Its like saying HQ had more experience and skill and would be expected to win but even with that knowledge and skill he still lost the match.
its like modifying the unexpected....hmm sort of.
....though ive probably just confused things
2 -even=if, like:
Even if you buy a new big boi mouse, Shady, you will still suck at quake.
LOL

You should sometimes listen to Term on TS, Aussie accent + insane speaking tempo = i lol.
I once heard Wonko and Term go on TS, i hardly could understand wtf they were talking about.
Anyway, back on topic, the confusion comes from the fact that in Polish language, "even" as a word is derivative from three words with different meanings, "równy", "nawet" and "parzysty". It has two meanings in English, but it branches out on other words in Polish and it's easy for people who don't really care about stuff like that to get confused.
As is, the sentence you have constructed HQ is correct, if with slight grammar mistakes.
hahaha shady that was awsome great translation!
@ HQ the way you spell your words are the same as they are spoken so i understand you pretty well mate.
