Mechanics: Starcraft vs Q3a E+

A friend of mine (Starcraft player) believes that Starcraft has the highest mechanic skillcap of all games, I dare to say that it's e+ (mechanics: flickshots, reactionshots, movement, etc). What do you guys think?

Surely not E+, yesterday I played online after a while without playing this game and the most things I've notice is team damage, blocking mates, spam and aimless players.

Maybe Quake would have a faster reaction time and tactics than Starcraft II since in Quake you have to set a wallhack in your head (you know what I mean, predict the enemy), you have to know items respawn time and move very fast your mouse for instant results as movement is linked to attack skill more than in every other games.

APM binds in Starcraft II are only spamming keys for a faster selection change (it already exists before SCII though).
For the tactics, it's just knowing the best build against the one your opponent is doing. The micro positionning is still based on this spamming APM key your friend will call as "fast reaction", but it's still simple tactics like stick enemy troops in a smaller place than you while he is attacking to divide their firerate.

My point of view and it's personal is :

1 - No games actually have reached the level of "skillcap", as you say, as Quake. As you can see, ten years after, we are still discovering new skills in the game, linked to the awesome physics of this game. But in ten years, I guess SCII will be in trash bin.

2 - There is a lot of marketing about games like LoL, Call of Duty and there is also a lot of players in those games. But my opinion is according to the quality of previous games named, best games are not the most famous today.

I believe that Starcraft and Q3a E+ mechanics cannot be compared. Since each game is a different genre and requires different strategies/ tactics for winning the game.
In Starcraft the so called APM allows a player to be physically prepared to a fast action/reaction. The keys spam is just that. A player would spam the keys even if there is nothing to do. Just for him to be ready when the next self-given-task would require such fast action/reaction.
In Sports in general one needs to pay attention and have the muscles warmed, swinging the body weight on each leg, the arched position (see the soccer goalkeeper position, volleyball back liners position, rugby front liners position etc)
In Quake 3 / E+ i believe we don't have such tactics. One mostly stand in full attention and is not required to be physically prepared for a fast action/reaction. The amount of self-given-tasks are a lot to be physically prepared. We don't need to spam a key to have that. But also the rhythm cannot be maintained constant. Spamming movement keys does not provide so big advantages alike Starcraft for example. A good aim is a trained eye and mouse movement coordination. Most strategies and tactics in e+ require you to have a trained mind, good aim (mouse movement) In E+ the clicks rate and key press is does not involve/require holding a constant rhythm nor give advantages to one who does not. But between other Quake 3 mods i believe E+ is the most intensive and fast pacing game. And in excellence i speak not about plusN config but e5r/e5 config scene. PlusN allows a bit less mental and physical requirements, also in my top too.

I agree but the game is ql rather than e+. Skill based and balanced
